Weekly Update #33 - Nearing the end (of the first level)


I have now officially completed all the biggest and most important features for the first level, this boss fight being the last one. There’s still a couple small features that need to be implemented, but the hardest part is now behind. From now on, it’ll be fine-tuning, asset-making, and of course bugfixing. Here’s the full list:

  • Maintenance: The camera system has been completely revamped.
  • Maintenance: The targeting system has been completely revamped.
  • New feature: Greater Orbweaver boss fight.
  • Bugfix: Switches with timers sometimes would behave erratically.

Objectives for next update

  • Write the boss fight theme for the Greater Orbweaver.
  • Write one more ambiance theme for dialogs.
  • Design the sounds for the Greater Orbweaver.
  • Design the couple of sounds that are still missing for the other enemies.
