Weekly Update #38 - A bunch of new features
Seed of Life » Devlog
The productive weeks are back! This week I’ve been able to work on a bunch of new exciting features for Seed of Life, additionally to making progress in the creation of the second level. I’ve also been able to start working on the main theme for that level. Here’s the full list:
Content
- New feature: floating lava platforms. They will stick to the surface of lava, should it rise or decline. They are also unstable, and will lean back and forth if you stand on the edge of them.
- New feature: Turret stun. It’s now possible to stun the turret enemy by shooting it in the head. While stunned, it’s easier to finish it by attacking it’s power core, or to run away from it.
- New feature: Stochastic texture sampling for terrains and cave. It’s a fancy appellation for an algorithm that helps in reducing visible tiling in the textures. Hopefully this will improve the visuals.
Work in progress
- I started working on the theme of A2. I intend to continue.
- I am still working on the A2’s design.
Objectives for next update
- Keep working on A2’s theme
- Keep working on A2’s design
