Weekly Update #39 - Bugfixes, again


Just came back from a little trip to the capital, in time to work on more bugfixes for Seed of Life, especially related to the third cutscene of the game (codenamed Exposition). I realized after a few playthroughs, that Raven’s model was in dire need of cleaning up, and so I also took the opportunity to re-animate it. Here’s the full list:

Content

  • Bugfix: Raven’s model had topology issues, and clothing was buggy.
  • Bugfix: Re-animated c3 for the new model.
  • Bugfix: Enemies and objects that hit the ground no longer push other entities below terrain.
  • Bugfix: When the player was being grabbed and thrown by an enemy, sometimes they would get stuck.

Work in progress

  • I am still working on the second level’s theme
  • I started working on a climbing mechanic. I’ve made substantial, but it’s not quite finished yet.

Objectives for next update

  • Finish working on the climbing mechanic
  • Continue working on the second level’s theme and design
