Weekly Update #17 - The end of cutscene #4


This will again be a very short update, for this week I’ve mostly been working on cutscene #4 again. I’ve finally completed it yesterday, and have playtested it a couple of times, so I think I’m gonna call it a day and move on to something else. Here’s the full list:

Content

  • New feature: Cutscene #4, a scene where you will meet a new character who will help you in your adventure.
  • Bugfix: After the prologue at the very beginning of the game, the game wold crash.
  • Maintenance: The game flag event system was not being properly garbage collected, resulting in memory leaks.

Objectives for next update

  • Sound engineer the couple of SFXs that are missing still, and implement them into the game
  • Write a new track for the character introduced in cutscene #4
  • Write a new track for enemy encounter
  • Write a new track for Game Over
  • If I have the time, implement a dynamic system for the enemy encounter track (think Legend of Zelda and dynamic music)
