Weekly Update #18 - The sound of danger
Seed of Life » Devlog
I might say that often, but it is always a pleasure to go back to writing tracks after a long time writing code (and making cutscenes, incidentally). Although, gotta admit, creativity is not always something you can simply turn on and get on with, and it took me longer that I would’ve wanted to get creative. Still, I was able to come up with a new track this week, so it’s something. Here’s the full list:
Content
- New Assets: SFXs for the Turret enemy.
- New Track: Rising Tension, a dynamic piece of music that will play when you encounter and fight enemies. It even has orchestral hits that play the right chord the same time you deliver a successful hit, pretty proud of that to be honest.
Work in progress
- Still got a couple of tracks to complete, namely the Game Over jingle (should not be that hard) and the theme for Viðir.
- Need to finalize the implementation of the enemy fight theme into the game.
Objectives for next update
- Complete the implementation of Rising Tension into the game.
- Write the two remaining tracks.
