Weekly Update #19 - Game Over
Seed of Life » Devlog
After having finalized my work on the fighting music, it seemed fitting that my next step would be working on the Game Over music, in order to have the full combo. For once, I decided to do something simple, and opted for a sad version of the main theme of the game. Here’s the full list:
Content
- New Feature: Adaptive music when fighting enemies. The intensity depends on the number of enemies you’re fighting, how long the fight lasts, and how much damage you received. Orchestral hits also play the right chord upon dealing successful blows.
- New Feature: Game Over. When your health is completely depleted, there’s a little animation and a jingle, then the level restarts.
Work in progress
All done!
Objectives for next update
- Start the design of a new enemy: the Worm.
- Model, texture, and rig the Worm.
- Implement procedural animation for the Worm.
- If I have the time, create the AI for the Worm.
