Weekly Update #28 - Wrapping up Phae


Slowly but surely getting things wrapped up for the Chinese-inspired town Phae. This week I’ve been working on adding all the required buildings to the town, and even began working on the inside on the royal palace. The only thing left to do now will be to add NPCs so that the place can feel more alive. The one MVP feature that is now left to do is a final exposition cutscene, and after that I’ll be able to move on to something else. Here’s the full list:

  • Level Design: Completed the design of Phae.
  • Level Design: Created the throne room of Phae’s royal palace.
  • Maintenance: Made some optimization to AI.

Objectives for next update

  • Work on cutscene #6, codenamed “charm”, which is gonna be really complex so it’s probably gonna take me the whole, if not two whole weeks.
